Acceptable use policy

Version 1.8 · in effect from 1 May 2026

This policy is deliberately short. It exists so that the network stays usable for everyone on it, not so that we have grounds to remove customers we have changed our minds about.

Not permitted

  • Content that is unlawful in the jurisdiction of the origin or of the delivering edge.
  • Material depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of children. Reports go straight to the relevant authorities and the account is terminated without notice.
  • Phishing pages, credential harvesting, or content impersonating another organisation.
  • Distribution of malware, exploit kits, or command-and-control infrastructure.
  • Using the network to launch denial-of-service attacks, port scans, or intrusion attempts against third parties.
  • Deliberately circumventing metering, or reselling capacity without a written reseller agreement.

Bandwidth and fair use

There is no hidden fair-use clause. You are billed by the terabyte, so heavy use is a commercial matter and not a policy matter. The one exception is traffic engineered to destabilise the network itself, which is covered above.

Reporting abuse

Send reports to abuse@digitalprovider.online with the URL, a timestamp, and the X-Request-Id header if you have it. We acknowledge within one business day. Reports concerning child sexual abuse material are actioned immediately, at any hour.

How we respond

Our first step is to contact the customer, because in most cases the content belongs to one of their users rather than to them. Where the content is manifestly illegal, or where the customer does not respond within the notice period, we suspend delivery of the specific content. Whole-account suspension is a last resort and requires sign-off from two people.

Government and law enforcement requests

We require valid legal process from a jurisdiction with authority over us. We notify affected customers unless legally prohibited. We publish an annual transparency report with the number of requests received and the number complied with.
